Kevin Speer is a seasoned general manager with over 30 years of luxury hospitality and private club experience. He understands the ins and outs of the industry from his service at the Coral Casino Beach & Cabana Club, operated by the Four Seasons Resort, The Biltmore Santa Barbara. With over two decades overseeing the AAA Five Diamond and Five Star rated property, Kevin values excellence and has a breadth of service experience. Today, Kevin is an essential part of the Tahoe Beach Club team, and we are grateful for the care he provides our membership.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Chris relocated to Tahoe for its world-renowned beauty and recreation. He spent 27 years working in the basin's thriving outdoor industry before transitioning into resort leadership. As a guest experience and business development manager for Epic Discovery and a senior marketing manager at Kirkwood, Chris honed his skills in client service, providing unforgettable experiences for every guest. At Tahoe Beach Club, Chris is a resource for members and staff, serving our community throughout daily club life.

Shayla is a seasoned luxury real estate professional, working in residential sales, land, and custom home sales since 2003. A Washington State native, Shayla’s versatility and love of travel allowed her to serve clients in the La Quinta, San Diego, British Virgin Islands, and Tahoe markets. Shayla holds both Nevada and California broker’s licenses, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Washington State University. She is a top-producing salesperson for IMI Worldwide Properties since the company’s inception and continues to guide the development team in setting record sales growth at Tahoe Beach Club. She is known by clients for her candor, dedication, enthusiasm, and competence.

Courtney has over twenty years of experience in the luxury spa industry as a practicing licensed massage therapist and manager. With a strong connection to nature, Courtney moved to the Tahoe Basin from Moab, Utah, furthering her education in Eastern medicine. She now specializes in Chinese and Western herbal treatments, bodywork, and Ayurvedic practices. As the Director of Tahoe Beach Club’s Spa and Fitness, Courtney is devoted to holistic wellness and creating an outstanding member experience.

David began his culinary career in San Francisco, training in leading Bay Area restaurants under many notable West Coast chefs. After fourteen years in the city, David moved to Lake Tahoe, where he worked for over nine years as an executive sous chef at Edgewood. When the opportunity arose, David became the executive chef at The Landing Resort and Spa, revamping their menu to a fresh take on West Coast fare. As Tahoe Beach Club’s executive chef, David is eager to create unparalleled service and delicious cuisine for our members and their guests.

Originally from Santa Cruz, CA; John started his career in San Diego working for Morrison Knudsen on a logistic contract with the U.S. Navy, where he then managed their operations on the East Coast and eventually in Bahrain. After moving to South Lake Tahoe with his wife Tye in 1993, John became a ski instructor and fly fishing teacher until his twin boys were born in 1999. He went on to manage a local sporting goods store for many years until he opened his own Merry Maids home cleaning service, which he managed for seven years. John then moved back to Santa Cruz and started a real estate business, which he ran for ten years, before moving back to Lake Tahoe and working at Tahoe Sports LTD. His passions include skiing, golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking, playing hockey, and cooking; all of which he loves to do with his family.
